Welcome to my little corner on the internet! My name is Kanem , though many friends and loved ones refer to me as KC (spelling varies). Currently residing in Metro Atlanta, I work in retail buying due to my affinity with trend spotting, merchandising , and retail analysis + love for fashion. From working with small black owned businesses in the city to interning with entities such as Rolling Out Magazine, my journey has been nothing short of exciting thus far. With 5+ years of retail merchandising and retail buying experience, I use my time educating my peers on the in-and-outs of the retail industry, speaking to past and current trends, and learning more about the fashion industry at large.

As someone who finds it easier to write things out rather than speak on camera many times, it would only be right to harbor my overflowing conscious in a forum of my own. It’s for this reason that this blog was started; to share my views, ideas, and opinions with like-minded individuals while fostering conversations that can (hopefully) stimulate the mind and promote progressive thinking. I am still fairly young and have much to learn about the industry I work in, the world, and myself as well. I’m constantly acquiring knowledge, constantly changing, and constantly keeping an open mind to what’s in store for the future. And with so much on the horizon, I figure…
